[Another weird one. The pronouns are to distinguish two people… “she” doesn’t have to be me.]
bonds of beauty stinging stars and waning moonlight, in that island of a night when love had fled from its cocoon, bade her create cold beauty oozing blood, just before she kneeled and wheeled herself into the dead night- winged with hope. blistering sun and empty skies, in that draining day when bonds seemed blurred to obliteration, made him experience the radiance of cold magnificence, and he recalled his clarion call that had borne his soul on the murderous day- buoyed by understanding. And Beauty beamed alike upon the one who died, and the other that survived- coldly. [Explaining a bit: first stanza describes a creator & second an appreciator – the work connects them when all else fades to naught. Coldly = starkly, truthfully, REALLY.] ---- "... to have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection for ever." ~ J. K. Rowling in Harry Potter. |

And Beauty beamed alike
upon the one who died, and the other that survived- coldly. Scary. You think you know, but you have no idea. |
