As a fool 365 days a year, with an extra one thrown in on occasion, I sense this is all part of the special day when everyone is permitted to play the part. A chance to create, and then release, imaginary steam.
Since I am an irregular visitor, I guess it doesn't really matter if I take the cure; as an outsider to the family, the time has come to return to books and such, rather than these forums.
May you all continue to write the excellent works that have entertained so many times and may you also enjoy the relationship that allows this style of humor.

In hoping prothero is correct and this is nothing more than an April Fools jest, which it sadly does not appear to be, I have several proposals.

First of all, everyone needs to take a step back and breathe.

Second of all, you all need to start acting like the adults I know you can be.

Third of all, did this rationale all happen because of one member or because the steam blew over with the members as they came here? If I am not mistaken, was not the purpose of creating this site to avoid the administration on quoteland. Do you all seriously want to show us that none of you are above the very reasons you sought a new land?

I find it highly hard to believe that all of you are acting to your full potential, and if it will make you feel any better, go ahead and trash me as well, I'm far above it.

Now, in all honesty, was myllack of presence up until recently really that bad? I mean geeze, you didn't have to start turning on one another, there's enough of me to go around. Granted Run-On and Dancing in the Rain weren't my best works but no need to riot over it.

Now, the first step to do (or rather the second first step) is for everyone here to admit what their problem is with no hidden meanings and no intentional spite. If you cannot comply then get out of MY SIGHT/SITE. I do not own this site and I am not an administrator but I think its obviously clear by definition and appearances that those who have said nothing in this thread up to this post (with the exception of Prothero) is worthy of calling Word Distillery a site of their own. If you cannot act like the adults you are and you play the childish word games through email and the public then you have no right to dampen the other members experiences on this site. I signed on to see the good and the positive of the day and I wound up sickened at the hatred and the adversity you are sharing with one another.

There is no exception to anyone within this thread. I think you all need to sit down and talk about this in the sensible way I hope you can all find the way to act.

As most of you may be aware a good number of our members actually use the outhouse...and for that I’m thankful, however, many may not be aware that the largest Cat on this site is privy to the sandbox, and I shall continue to dump there as necessity demands...regardless of the contempt among our elite.

Let the truth be known that this entire fiasco started all because it was Keny's turn to clean the sandbox and he started whining about how large a job it was. He then had the nerve to order Becky to scoop it out. And if you all remember correctly, poor Becky has a bad back injury from last year's party when she slipped and fell into a patch of purple violets .
I mean how insensitive is that? She's all ready cleaned the thing out six times in a row. (I'd do it but I'm alergic to gritty things) so it was the straw that broke the camel's back.

First she has to put up with the toilet seat being left up all the time, then the constant explosions and small fires from Ron's experiments gone wrong, and now she's expected to lift a thirty pound pooper scooper with a bad back? Yes! I said thirty pounds. You wouldn't believe the size of...well...you know.

Sheesh! What a day! I guess by now if there's anybody who didn't know, and I think most of the known universe was in on this, it was our attempt to turn a joke around on the jokester supreme. I'm speaking of letswriteandshare of course. As hard as we worked on this, and I thank everyone who participated, we didn't manage to pull it off successfully. She never fell for the bait. I thought I might add that I was eloping to the jungles of South America and wouldn't have a computer but that was just a little too much. The jungles of South America? That part was okay. It was the elopement that wouldn't have flown.

We really haven't had any disagreements and I didn't resign, although Pam changing my status DID worry me a little just for a minute -- and Ron was SOOOOOOO good with his diatribe(s) that I began to wonder...... Now I guess it's back to life as normal. I think I feel a poem coming on....but first......
