My Father, known to you as \Doug/, passed away on July 5, 2009. He wanted everyone to know how much he enjoyed the members of Word Distillery and their words.

I am deeply saddened to hear of \Doug/'s passing. I enjoyed every word ever shared by him and he brought so many smiles with his beautiful gift of poetry.

I just got back in town, I'm so sorry to hear of \Doug/'s passing. We will all miss him.

Thank you so much for letting us know. I lost one dear friend on the 6th and another on the 7th -- it is a sad time -- at least for those of us who remain to feel the loss so acutely. \Doug/ will be missed by many whose lives he touched with his wit and wisdom.

Please accept my condolences, Diane. I was very fortunate to have met Doug when he was passing through Massachusetts last summer with his wife. I am so glad he squeezed in that 1/2 hour so we could meet. He and I shared many a laugh over the years we spent on the several writing sites. Doug, I know you truly have wings now and will never forget that hysterically funny conversation we had about "wings" one time. It will always remain a special memory. Rest in Peace, my dear friend.
