Nick states:

"Well flutterbug, I love you regardless but somehow I don't think the picture that I am seeing is you"

Nick, Nick, Nick, ye of little faith...that's just your opinion; you could be wrong... Wink

Whoa, me, the Fool again and always…
I *did* think it was FB..
Really.
[After one thought like "this couldn't be her" which I very quickly made myself dismiss Wink.]
No, Colly, you're not the only one... you can never be till there is me. Roll Eyes
Whoa Nick I could never have said what you did, myself Razzer.
But really hey I do think that’s a kind-gentle face, the glasses (and hair un-style) albeit are REALLY cheesy.

Big GrinFB are we gonna have your photo? I mean your REAL photo? And if you post it I'm gonna wait a month or so before commenting just in case it's a trick, even fools have limits, I wouldn't like to expose my stupidity THAT often! WinkYou cruel person Big Grin. Actually you cruel PEOPLE (La J and Galatea etc.! Everyun except Colly Big Grin and maybe Nick for pointing it out Wink.)

No, LWAS, you are NOT the only one to think that was really me...there are those that have admitted it, and those who secretly wondered. In any event, sorry if it was a "mean" trick...I only intended to get a few "guffaws" out of it. And, HEY! be careful of making fun of the hairdo!! How do you know my REAL one isn't identical???
Frankly, I think the woman in the photo is incredibly sweet-looking...looks like my late mother-in-law, and I mean that kindly...she was an angel!
Now, RON! I'm surprised at YOU! For sure, for sure, for SURE that is a photo of YOU on there??? Isn't it... Confused

Keny...your ex-wife's twin! hahahahahaha
You guys on here give my stomach muscles more exercise laughing than all the crunches and situps in the world could do! I love it!

The REAL me will be on the site soon...but be kind, it's only a younger version of the original photo!

To very roughly paraphrase one of my favorite sappy romantic poets, Rod McKuen: Let us go walking naked in the sun, and then you'll see I'm only me...did you think I was someone else, all this time...?

Hey Flutter, thanks for your kind concern but actually I do not mind. I was taken aback and for a moment not very happy but I did NOT want to be a party-pooper and if I gave that impression I do apologize because when the moment passed I was laughing at this 'un Big Grin.
It's GOOD to be tricked (and trick others, especially on April Fool's but even better, on 'normal' days)! Big Grin
lol you pulled a fast one... a courageous one, I mean for a day you didn't mind being considered the one with those glasses? Wink
Tell me how did ya plan it? I mean, what did you type in the image-search (or whatever) to get that pic, or how did you get it? Just very curious, I'm always curious about tricksters' wonderful minds Big Grin Smiler.

"I think the woman in the photo is incredibly sweet-looking"
-when I had mentioned the kind-sweet-gentle face, I had meant it too. I agree completely.

GOOD TRICK, flutter, very good one Big Grin. I almost always fall in, too, but this was one of the better ones, LOL.
It wasn't mean Big Grin.
I look forward to your real photo and some more tricks!

letswriteandshare,

There is a title under the picture of flutterbug (old20%lady). It is not one I think the person would put there if it truly were her. I am not a person that would make fun of another's looks...well except for Galatea.

I can trace my lineage back to King Lear's fool so it is genetic.

Plastikos; Oh ok, thanks for the clarification. Very observant, I didn't even notice the 20% thingy. I hope what I had written to you did not offend you, I didn't mean it in a condecsending manner AT ALL, I was wondering whether 'twas bold on your part or slightly unkind, in case the latter it was surpriseing me because I wouldn't expect such comment from YOU Smiler..
[In fact, to any that pray(ed) that it wasn't her, I’d say that it IS someone nonetheless (and someone with a bad taste not a bad face Wink Wink).]
All Ok I hope Wink.

Lady flutter! You are indeed as lovely as your writing and your comments would lead one to believe. It is wonderful to be able to put a face to all those beautiful romantic poems! Smiler

Nick...I didn't know that line would appear under the photo...must have been a title LaJ gave it when she posted it for me...I saw it and hoped it wouldn't give it away! But let's analyze it a bit, shall we??

"There is a title under the picture of flutterbug (old20%lady). "

Does that mean I'm only 20% woman, 80% man?? Well....maybe the hair...

OR

Does it mean I'm 20% "lady" and 80% "wild woman"?? haha

hmmmm....she remains a mystery...

To LWAS...the idea was a spur of the moment thing. I went to my daughter's house with my photo because she has a scanner and there just happened to be this birthday card amongst the others she received...it gave me such a laugh I just HAD to share it...and what better way?? Besides...I was very nervous about posting the "real" me.

AND SO WHERE IS YOURS MISSY?????

It's a very vulnerable feeling to post the real you when you know others have been imagining you as so different. I tried to explain the feeling with a rough paraphrase earlier...but when I locate my copy of "Listen to the Warm". I'll quote it accurately.

Thanks all, for putting up with the prankster in me...I'm not usually like that, but it just presented itself and it was just too too good to pass up! Besides, everyone on here seems to have a tremendous sense of humor. I never intended to put people on edge wondering if it was really me or not and wondering how to approach me...you know who you are...sorry! Frowner

CB/Dionysus...your comment cracked me up and sorry it was at your expense! Hey...the past is past, water under the bridge, water over the dam,let bygones be bygones, start with a clean slate, ummm how many more cliches can I come up with? Peace~~

To all who have seen the real me and commented so kindly, thank you much. It is tough to "expose" yourself, for sure!

Glad to be officially part of the "family album"!

And to all who AREN'T on there yet...GET MOVING!!! GE/Beat, Ron, LWAS, Dionysus, Doug, who else??? you know who you are!!!

flutterbug,

I sure am glad that you are good looking since I made those remarks. Galatea was a bit irritated that no one came to her defense in regard to her looks. Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Well, thank you, Nick for your flattering comments...you ARE referring to Photo #1, correct?

Galatea...thank you for your generous compliments...don't feel worthy of them, but I sure will take them! Thanks so much! And by the way, your photo is very elegant and beautiful, no matter WHAT Nick thinks...we all KNOW what HIS opinions are worth! "He COULD(???) be wrong?" HA!

I know this is late but I just had to post it anyways…LH

LWAS, Colly, et al…a confession…I join the ranks of the believers! Eeker And yes you may say I’m gullible…but at least I’m well-bred!

I feel the need to come clean on this one, although I have a “note” excusing me from class that day, however I was in such a knot I could not bring myself to post. Hehehhe!! I tried looking at things…to believe that this was the real FB, and after adjusting to my new Mason jar glasses…everything came into perfect focus. How could I be so blind…FB (feeble bug), I’m sorry for believing that this was really you. Big GrinAnd shame on you for such a nasty prank…actually on second thought I rather enjoyed it.
Anyway…good joke, ya got me!

How gracious and gallant of you, Mr. Lionheart, to openly admit to your gullibility! Now pick me those wildflowers, and I'm DONE FOR!! Big Grin

Sorry I tricked you, but if you had peeked beneath that demure hat I wear, you would have seen the devil in my eyes and a hell of a sense of humor! Big Grin

LB…yes, of course you are right…my whiskers were too puffed up for me to see anything so obvious. I’m off to the still to squeeze some much needed eye drops into my inflamed eyes and some medicinal tonic to my squat pride…whatever is left I’ll drink!

To the still!

Flutter's a babe! And that's before I saw your photo', so don't be calling ME shallow!

C'mon, Let's, where's your photo? Fat chance, huh? Like getting blood from a stone. Anyone willing to take a bribe to expose Let's' real name? I'll go to £1000!
