We hope that your ideas, talents and creativity will be expressed with the utmost respect and courtesy at all times. Word Distillery.com provides a relaxing atmosphere, yet at the same time, we expect its members to maintain proper decorum at all times. Honor your fellow members with the same respect that you would in turn, expect from them.Personal attacks will not be tolerated, and are not acceptable.

Explicit sexual content is not allowed.. If it is something you would not want your children to read, then chances are it does not belong on this site. If there is a question as to whether a particular work is considered appropriate or not, please forward your work to an administrator for review prior to posting.

Members may post one new work per day in each of the individual writing forums. This rule is subject to change as the participation level increases, and does not apply to the other forums.

Posts that have not been active for more than thirty days (unless otherwise stated) may be removed from the boards if necessary. This will NOT include any original works posted in any of the writer’s forums.

Once you have posted an original work, we at WordDistillery.com have the right to keep your work on the site. Although we will make efforts to comply with requests to delete posts, it will be at the Administration's discretion to leave standing or delete any posts made by that member.

Spamming and off topic posts will not be allowed. Posting links to outside web sites in order to promote a service or belief is also not allowed.

I am one of those weirdos that actually read rules Razzer. Not just that, I think a sitey’s constitution/rule-book is one of the basic parameters to judge it. This was one of the first threads that I had read on the site!

I like the ones (rules/guidelines) above, reasonable and briefly-effectively conveyed.

One question,

Posts that have not been active for more than thirty days (unless otherwise stated) may be removed from the boards if necessary.
-Why so? [In any case I’m glad to read that original works wouldn’t be deleted. Smiler]

Sorry for the long delay in answering you. That statement has been added to the Honor Code in case there is a need to delete any posts to free up storage space. We will do our best to not delete anything for the sake of saving bandwidth. If that should ever become an issue we are willing to upgrade to the next level, but at some point we may need to consider removing frivolous posts that no longer are of any importance.

An example of this would be the topic I posted last night that informed members that we were down. There was no need for it to remain on the boards taking up space, so it was removed.

You can be assured that no topics in the writing forums will ever be removed unless they go against the site rules of course.

OMG! THANK GOD!

Pam, that rule, well your explanation of it rather (for I didn't really understand the rule at first myself) makes me happy.

I believe i suggested something like that at wordparade during their band width crises, and what I recieved in return was embitterment on the part of those I asked.

I'm glad this new collection of admins are not only promising, this site seems promising as well.

If I had to rate this site in comparison to the others I've been on, well here goes...

On A Scale of 1-15

Wordparade = 7-10ish before I knew it, then lowered to 3-4ish

Quoteland = 10-15ish, then 8-11ish, and a continued pattern of disappointment.

WordDistilley = 12 with much room to grow and the looks of a continual rise of my appreciation of the site.
