Well, you may be the "baby" of the administrators, and your youth envied by the rest of us, but slowly and surely, you are getting ever so close to catching up!

Happy Birthday, Jimmy my friend. Although I can't recall when or why I ever started calling you Jimmy. upset Oh, yes.... I remember. Andrew started it. Ach aye Jimmy? Big Grin Silly boy! And somehow it stuck, but now he calls you Sammy, Becks affectionately refers to you as Séamy, and those too lazy to type emeraldcitizen just shorten it to EC.

You are a man worthy of many titles, but the one I am most fond of calling you, is friend. Smiler

We go a long ways back to the days of moderating together at a distant land, and it's been an honor and a privilege to continue working along side you today.

So, with September 13th being your day, I raise my mason jar to you, Oh master of the mudpit! Thumbs May all your hopes and dreams come true, and may you get a few more vacation days this year for good measure! Big Grin

Lá breithe mhaith agat!

Scotland never had a better Irishman than you!

Now let's party!

I suppose a lot of us go back farther than we'd probably want to admit. But the memories that involve you, Seamus, are ones that I relish.

All the best on your special day, and raise an extra one to yourself...on my behalf. beer

Seamus, may you find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow today, or catch an errant leprechaun or two to grant your grandest wishes. May your dreams of yesterday all come true and your hopes for tomorrow all be realized, less one, so that you'll always have dreams and hopes to carry with you through life.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY FRIEND.

May you live as long as you want,
And never want as long as you live.

Uh huh....another year passes and you're still a young man! Hope you have a happy one, my friend. Of course, my sister LaJ beat me to the punch by starting this thread yesterday. Seems like I just can't get ahead between her and LWAS....I think La J's going to be the surrogate Birthday Fairy while LWAS is off studying.

You and your fiery Irish personality have brought a lot of joy to many. Your perverse sense of humo(u)r hasn't hurt either.

As you celebrate your 39th (we won't say how many times) lift a jug of mudslides to all of us who would like to help you celebrate in person. Who knows how many more times you can celebrate your 39th? Make the most of it!

Banana Cheer flower Drunk Tequila Rolling WOOHOO Grandpa (listen to your elders), and Kick (kick a little butt along the way). Big Grin

Seamus!!
My very best wishes are travelling up the A1 as I type, Sammy. If I didn't have a doc's appointment tonight I may have come north of the border for a bevvy wit' ya, though I guess you'll be having one anyway, right?
It's a pleasure to know you, Seamus - a real pleasure!
Happy Birthday, mate.

An Irishman in Scotland...what IS the world coming too? I wish you a happy one Seamus. May all your birthdays be grand and glorious, may your walk on this earth be the same, may your dreams exceed your needs, and may all of us at WD benefit from your wisdom and kindness through the coming years.

Happy Birthday!

LaJuliette:..""baby" of the administrators"???? Hmmmm, you have a comedic talent the depths of which I never realised until now!HaHa.
It is my privilege that you call me friend, I couldn't wish for a greater gift.

Ron:.. It has been far too long since we spoke, we must remedy that soon. Your steadfast strength of principal has been something I have always admired. Many thanks for your greeting.

August:.. To be told that I have been any sort of inspiration to anyone is a revelation and a wonder, to be told that I have been an inspiration to one such as yourself is an honour almost beyond my comprehension. My deepest thanks for a priceless gift.

flutterbug:.. It is my pleasure to carry the tasks associated with the mudpit. Hey..how much of a burden could it be to be the one who helps start so much fun??, especially with such willing and able confederales.. Wink Thank you.

Wordman;.. there are lots of things I wish for every day, who doesn't??, but one thing is a cast iron certainty, I could wish for no better companions than the ones I have already found here at the distillery. To share even some of the reflected brilliance of such talented individuals as yourself (and indeed the many other great writers hereabouts) is far more than I feel I deserve. It is my honour to know you.

Aleia: I am a collector by habit. I collect many and varied things, some more valuable than others. The one collection I am proudest of and which is absolutely the most priceless to me, is my collection of friends. I am happy to add you to that collection. Thank you.

Galatea:.. ahhh the far off halcyon days of 39, I remember them well, I think...what were we just talking about??? Grandpa
Greetings from the gracious lady of WD are always welcome but lordy, I'd just love a delicious jug of mudslides right about now too!!!
I think that getting anything in before such sharp tacks as LaJ and LWAS is a practical impossibility, I KNOW I would never even want to try getting up that early in the morning, so don't feel too bad.
Thank you for always giving me the benefit of your hard earned wisdom freely and unstintingly. It is a resource I have always been grateful to draw upon as it would take me about three times as long to learn one quarter of what you know and we all know a human lifespan just ain't that long.

Afenton:.. Sir Andrew, Knight Errant of WD (and no man better desrves the title I say!!) when the doctor is done poking what ever he has to poke (oooh!, that smarts!! Yikes) you get your charger and point him north along that very same A1 and gallop him till his fetlocks and withers drop off and I can promise you a night of ale and wenches in old aberdeen that you will find hard to forget (if you can even remember it in the first place!!). Thank you sirrah!

Lionheart: .. So, all I have to do is add on the appropriate number of wishes after 39???... help Yikes!! I don't have that many fingers and toes to count 'em up on!!
Many thanks my friend, I hope I am granted many more years of the pleasure of reading your contributions.

Plastikos:.. Shhhush NickSecret, The locals ain't got wind of that yet, they just think I'm from one of those strange isolated outlying islands dotted around Scotlands coastline, heaven knows what would happen if they suspected I was Irish!
Thank you for your extravagant good wishes and compliments, I hope I can live up to them, I aim to try.

I thank you one and all for your kind wishes at the turning of another year. I cannot claim to know very much but there is one thing I know with absolute certainty. My life is immesurably enriched for knowing all of you and for joining this wonderful community.
Whomever you pray to, may he, she or they keep you all safe and well.

Thank You

Séamus
