I have been very sick. The past 5 weeks I have been in hospital.
I came home last Monday but have not had the will to write.
Soon I hope.

I'm glad you're on the road to good health again, but if you're not careful, I might have to come down to Missouri and make sure you behave yourself!

Man, I am glad you're okay. I've been asking your daughter Pam about you but she didn't know, either.

I'll send you a special shipment of corn squeezins...provided, of course, that I can find a carrier willing to transport it. The last two didn't make it out of the county before something set it off.

I’m sending up a can of "Clarks Deep Brown Beans" with molasses, pork, and a dash of maple syrup. If they have the same effect on you as they have on me you should be up and RUNNING before you know it.

You just get your rest, take your vitamins and down a few mason jars of Keny's squeezin's and you'll be as fit as a fiddle in no time!

That stuff works wonders...trust me.

Yeah.........but what about that chronic crick in your neck, Sis? Isn't that from the squeezins'?

Jack, you've seen only the tip of the iceberg. Always know that you and your work are respected, valued, and loved by all of us. We are all made better by your presence and we miss you when you can't be here. Did I already say that? No matter....it bears repeating.

Ohhhh! Five weeks sounds like a loooong time, dear you.. I truly hope you're on your road to recovery. Be well, and don't take yourself to be more well than you are (I know my mom would find excuses to move about and work some four days after she had her surgery... she got a good scolding by me and I can also scold you! )... take lots of juices fruits and care, take the right medicines and don't forget to take them on time, and do the things that you like... you know what they say about illness being God's way of reminding you that you need rest!! Be good and thanks for sharing.
And Becky, dearie, I hope you as well have been doing better... you and Jack would be in my prayers.

My dear friends today is Monday the day after Father’s Day
and what a grand day I had. Today I go in to test to see if
the blockage is gone, if so I will be able to eat and drink
once more.

My heartfelt thanks for your kinds thoughts.

My thoughts and prayers will be with you Jack. I hope that you are able to eat as much as I want to refrain from it!

If love and the support of friends has any bearing, you will have gained twenty pounds by next week......and I will have lost that many!
