New story hope you enjoy it. I know I have a lot of spelling and grammar errors -sorry.
I let out a content sigh as soon as I fully wake up, my eyes were shut in peacefull bliss. But the annoying buzz of the florescents make me open them. Last day! I smile at the thought. A whole week of my summer had already been lost to an appendicitis. But today i was finally free! I hit the small red button on my bedside annoucing to the nurses that I was awake and ready for breakfast. I look around my tan and blue room of Mountainsaide Childrens Hospital. The smell of the disenfectant burned my nose. The only thin gI would miss here is the cards, balloons, flowers, and posters made by friends all telling me to "Get well soon!". I stopped mid-thought. The nurses usually diddnt take this long to check on me. I pressed the button again, listening for the sound of someone approaching my door, but it was silent, it was never this silent. well I thought IM leaving today anyway, and a short walk would do me good after a week of just sitting here. So I slid my legs off the bed but quickly withdrew them. "Gross!" I said aloud. There were two piles of soot, or somthin black and powdery, on my floor. Very disgusting for a hospital. I acrefully step over the mess and continue on my little expedition down the hall, which was also lined with more soot. I realize again the silence, its becasue bobody is here. I listen carefully. There ar eno whispers coming from rooms, no worried talk of patients, no serious doctors. Complete silence. "Helloooooooo?& quot; I call a little anxious. But only my echoing voice replys to me. I start to run now, a little panicked. "HELLO!" I scream this time. and I hear a reply, and its not my echo. "Whos there?" I hear them more clearly now, down the hall from me, accross from the elevator. "I'm here!" was my intellegent response. Until now I had not thought about what and empty hospitl might mean. It could mean somebody broke in and evacuated the place. Possibly killed people. I duck down beind and empty wheelchair pushed against the wall down from the elevator, so I could see down the hall barely. "Hello?" I hear the voice just as he runs and slides down the hall, his back to me. Not a murderer, just a kid. I sigh internally. "Over here." I say to him, standing up. I look at him carefully now. he is abou tmy age, light brown hair with piercing green eyes. "Oh thank God," he sighs, relieved. "I though I was all alone." "Yeah me to." I say. "Well I guess were all alone now." he looks down as he says the words. "Well where is everyone?" I ask innocently. "Gone. They just disapered and this soot is whats left of their clothing." He leans his arm on the wall and places his head agaisnt it like he has a terrible headache. "Wh-what! Thats not possible! They have to have gone somewhere!!" I say. "Well I dont know where. They just poofed! I saw it. Right there my sister just-" he broke of with a sudden sob. "No no no no no." I tell him trying to find a way to disprove what he saw. But the evidence was there. And somehow I knew, deep insdie. He was telling the truth. <3 Katie |

The title says it all “Is this the end?”
I like the way your story progressed, building suspense in the reader, then the end, leaving the reader wanting. Good job. Jack |
